Then for no apparent reason one day when my husband was driving along, the radio popped on. My husband decided to not replace the radio/system. He was told the whole system would need to be replaced for about $1800. My husband took it into the dealer to have it checked out. "The radio stopped working (don't know why) and did not work for about 6-7 months. "I set up pairing but when I leave the car and return it does not automatically resume pairing at times" The unit is MUCH better, but occasionally displays errors and gives erroneous directions." and reprogramming the software repeatedly. The Buick dealer has worked on it repeatedly in clouding changing the unit, the antenna, etc. "From time to time, the cursor (representing the Encore’s current position) is anywhere from a few hundred feet to maybe a half a mile off. The whole unit has been replaced twice, the antenna once, the coupler once and it had been reprogrammed a number of time. "The GPS unit has been back to the dealer at least twelve (12) times. It is much better now than it was in the beginning but still goes nuts from time to time. It then goes "crazy" giving all sorts of directions to get back on the programmed road - when it is on the programmed road all the time. It is much better, but still occasionally thinks it is up to half a mile off from the road I am driving on. They replaced the software a number of times. They replaced various components at different times. In the first four years, I took it back to the dealer at least 20 (twenty) times. "I noticed the problem when the car was only a week old.
